The White Terns of Oahu have been busy courting and laying eggs. As a result there are now over 300 eggs and chicks in trees scattered across the greater Honolulu area. Some of them are located in the heart of Waikiki and offer exceptional opportunities to see our White Terns doing what they do here and nowhere else in the Pacific - nesting in an urban environment. Join us on Sunday, February 11, as we visit a few of the nesting spots along Kalakaua Avenue. We’ll meet at 10:00 under the big Monkeypod tree in the center of this picture at the intersection of Kalakaua and Saratoga Road. The walk will end at the International Marketplace at about 11:30. Please RSVP by texting 808-379-7555 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
